New Years Resolutions

Hello!!

As you all know, 2016 is fast approaching and that means we are all about to make our own New Years Resolutions. Now you may be thinking, it's a bit early to be doing this because it is still December 30th.

However, for next year I want to be the best I can be, and that means putting a lot of thought and effort into my resolutions!! I thought, that if you're stumped, I'll give you a few tips to making the perfect resolution for you!

Well, for starters, I would only make one or two resolutions as you can put all of your efforts into succeeding. Even if they're only small, they're still likely to be kept if you only have one or two others. For example, two years ago, I made a resolution that I would stop biting my nails and I did exactly that!! I think you want to start small to get the biggest results.

Also, don't make a resolution to reinvent yourself, make a resolution to improve yourself. I am very big on self improvement and I think that I've worked hard for everything I've become, why would I want to change that? Now, I'm not saying I'm perfect (because I'm not) but there is always room for improvement. And I think that if you're going to do a fitness resolution, for example, you should play on your strengths- don't start from nothing, start from where you are now!!

Oh, and another thing, make sure you take baby steps to completing your goal. BE REALISTIC!! There's no point setting a goal to make £1,000,000 in a year, it's not likely. But do make a goal to make more money and ask yourself how am I going to do that?? Will I get another job on the side?? Will, instead of buying a coffee everyday, perhaps make my own and save money that way?? The key to succeeding your goal is to make baby steps. Make is sustainable, not unattainable.

So, these are my tips for the perfect New Years Resolution! I hope you have a great New Years and all the luck for 2016!!

Love, Eloise

In fact, today we both went to the cinema with our unlimited annual pass (not to brag or anything) and saw Sisters, staring Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, which is very funny. So, I though that I would write my top 10 recommendations for the best films to watch. And just so you know, I have watched ALL of these within the past week. Sad, I know.

Xmas Decs

Heyy! So today my good friend Imogen gave me the idea for this post...Thankyou!! I am going to show you some of my Christmas decorations that are up in my  house, I hope you enjoy and sorry for the poor photography, I rushed it!

Only 18 days left to go :D

This is our Christmas tree! As my mum looovvveesss Christmas she makes sure her tree looks beautiful! We have a tradition of decorating the tree with red and silver tinsel, lights and baubles and we have always put this star on the top. Putting up the Christmas tree has always been one of my favourite Christmas activities so as soon as it is acceptable to put it up, I make sure I do!

Every year, my street end up being really competitive when it comes to Christmas lights (even if no one wants to admit it!) It is a well known fact that my street goes mad and it is always the brightest street around!

We have this display of teddy bears (invented when Immy?!) and they are so cute! We have all animals, ranging from penguins to rabbits and they are always put on the dining room windowsill...I know we sound kinda mad!

This is the Christmas tree that is in my bedroom and it is the prettiest tree I have ever had in there. It is a pop up one so it is super easy to put up, although the lights are an absolute pain! It is white and it comes with pink and gold baubles that are so cute, this tree is definitely my fav!

Lastly, on our fireplace, we hang our stockings which is such a traditional thing to do! We have never done this before but this year we decided to and I must admit it looks really pretty! My stocking is the teddy bear one and I have had it since I was born, I love it! The small one in the middle is my dog's, don't judge, she deserves presents too!!

I hope you enjoyed and now you should go and decorate your houses until your neighbours think you are Christmas mad!

A Little Bit About Me!!

Hi...

After Kirsty's post, I thought perhaps that I should do the same thing because right now I am procrastinating revision for a Chemistry mock tomorrow and I love you guys all too much!!

So. here's my post-quel, (trying to make prequel into post and I don't think it worked, haha), mini Q&A...

Things I cannot leave the house without

Well, I usually leave the house with nothing, depending on where I'm going, and if I do, I just shove it in my pockets. If I'm only popping out and I know I won't be long, then I won't bring anything. Although, if I am going to a friends I most definitely will take my phone. So, it would have to be my phone I guess.

Favourite flowers??

This question is so hard for me because I absolutely love flowers!! I always have a bunch of flowers in my room- they're mainly roses though. I must say, I absolutely adore Sweet Peas as they remind me so much of my Great Grandmother. They smell so gorgeous and come in truly beautiful colours. I really don't know... all of them?!

I'm really not doing well so far...

Heels or flats?

HEELS. Heels for sure. I absolutely love them and not just because they make me look taller. It is so fun to go shoe shopping and I particularly shop for heels, even though I hardly ever have the opportunity to wear them. I have to admit, I've already got my prom shoes... and I don't even have my dress yet!!!

Do I get good grades?

I think so... it depends on what counts as good. For me, I don't like to go on about the grades I get because all that matters is the effort that is put into the work that you do. If you care and genuinely try hard then you will do well. I particularly don't like the feeling of knowing you didn't do as well as you could have and not being satisfied with myself, so I try to avoid that feeling at all costs by doing well.

Do I eat fries with a fork?

It really depends which situation I'm in. If I'm at a restaurant then yes. If I'm around people I'm comfortable with then no.

Any phobias?

Snakes. Dying when I'm not ready. No more cake.

Have I ever had near death experience?

Not that I can recall... I'd like to think that I've been very much alive for 15 years!!

Do I bite your nails?

Not any more!! I used to and it used to be really bad. Really bad. But after realising that it was disgusting and understood how bad it actually hurt, then I tried so hard to stop it. I used nasty tasting nail polish and putting bangles on my wrists so they would make a noise when my hands were moving towards my mouth. And it actually worked!! I love my nails now and I can't even imagine biting them now. Ewww.

Am I into ghost hunting?

Ummm... NO WAY!! Ghosts scare the living daylights out of me, why would I want to hunt them?? Please ghosts leave me alone, I've done nothing wrong. However, I do believe that people watch over us, as in our loved ones. But whether they are ghosts or not I have no idea??

Last thing that made me cry??

Actually, it was earlier today when See You Again came on the radio. I always cry when I hear the song because it makes me think of Paul Walker and it makes me very very sad. I don't know why, it just does. And it's not even like a tear, it's like full on sobbing and a waterfall just floods out of my eyes... It's even making me sad now, so the last time I cried was now... Oh lord, why am I so emotional??

So, that was my mini Q&A. Now that I've done this I should really get on with some chemistry revision. Ugh. And I definitely agree with Kirsty, soon we shall do the TMI tag!! Stay tuned for that!!
