The Best Friend Tag :)

Hello! As you know from this blog, we are best friends and we feel that it is the right time to do the.......

BEST FRIEND TAG

So, we are going to be putting 11 years of friendship to the test, let's do it!!!

1. How and when did you meet?
As we are both summer babies, we were enrolled into school in the summer of 2004 and put in the same class. However, it wasn't until Year 1 that we really became friends.

2. What is your favourite memory together?

There are way too many to count. But, when we went to One Direction at Wembley Stadium. Can we just say they hip thrusted in our direction!!!!!

3. Describe each other in one word

Kirsty: Phenomeniall, hahaha
Eloise: Legendary

4. What is your dream job?

Kirsty: Choreographer for One Direction!!!
Eloise: I don't have a dream job. If it involves Harry Styles then I'm all for it!!

5. What is your favourite make up brand?

Kirsty: I don't wear make up....
Eloise: Uhhh... If I had to choose, it would be Maybelline

6. What is something that annoys you about the other person?

Kirsty: Eloise's obsession over having a high battery life... it annoys me!!
Eloise: If ever we are bored, she will never say what she wants to do, it's always I don't mind...

7.  If you could go anywhere in the world together, where would you go and why??

Kirsty: Australia!! Because the accents are amazing, it's sunny, unlike England, where it rains 24/7 and we can track down Mark Brennan and Tyler Brennan. (#Neighbours)
Eloise: America. USA! USA! USA! I've always wanted to road trip and who better to do that with than the one and only!!! And the food is the bomb.com and she would kill me if I tried all the food without her!!

It should be a crime

8. Favourite inside joke?

Neine!!!

9. If your house was burning down, what would you save and why?

Kirsty: I would save my laptop with all my photos on it because I'm a nice person.
Eloise: Blankie!!! I've had it since I was a baby and I cannot sleep without it in my bed... I would be distraught for life.....

10. Most Likely to...

Get drunk: Kirsty

Fall whilst walking: Kirsty
Laugh at the wrong moment: Eloise
Be a drama queen: Eloise
Always be happy: Kirsty

Studies show that if you're friends for 10 years, you'll be friends for life, so sorry you're stuck with me...

From Italy With Love xx

This past week, I've been to the motherland of pizza, pasta and ice cream, Italy!!!!!!

We stayed in the beautiful town of Bordighera on the coast of Italy. Luckily, it is near Nice (France), so the journey was not too far, as my sister is prone to being Donkey from Shrek- constantly asking "Are we there yet!".

The views were so amazing, you look one way and you see amazing mountain ranges and then you look the other and see the Mediterranean Sea and it's hard to believe that they are only within 50 miles of each other.

On the Tuesday, we went to a town in France called Menton, to celebrate the Fête Du Citron, as we missed pancake day. ( #firstworldproblems) However, we did eat crêpes, so all was good. Of course, I had Nutella and banana.
But let's get real, it was incredible! The theme was Chinese New year, so all of the enormous models were made entirely of lemons and oranges!

The next day, we went to a place in Italy called Sanremo, which is pretty much a cute Italian shopping central for nearby towns. But, oh my, there is a shop called KIKO, which is the Italian alternative to MAC. The products are all high quality and I managed to snag 2 lipsticks and 2 nail polishes for 12 euros!!! Can I get an amen?

Let's hit the beach baby!

Got to have these holiday essentials!!

Now, let's get to the real stuff... FOOD!!

The food was so good... I cannot even. The first night, I had pizza, pasta and ice cream, I mean how could you not. There was a restaurant called Milleluci and, OMG, the focaccia was to die for, there was no way I could not have two every time we went there. It's like pizza, but the dough is extra fluffy and the sauce is raw with no cheese. They also made Nutella slices!! Hell yeah... Apparently, the owner is to open a restaurant in Brighton, which isn't too far from us so I will be there 24/7!!!

We also managed to get a taste of Italy's best pizza 2011 and to be honest it really was the best pizza I have every tasted- my pizza was bigger than my face!! And yes, I had Margherita pizza because I am the self acclaimed ultimate Margherita pizza try-er.

Finally, the ice cream was the bomb.com. I did not eat a bad ice cream- and I ate a lot of ice cream. The best ice cream was in CoCo's- a really Italian gelateria. There was a really cute baby, about 3 years old, who kept saying GELATO in a really cute way every time she looked at the ice cream! AWWW! I had Nutella and banana because how could you not? It was honestly so amazing I almost cried when I finished...

#heaven

So, that was my short but sweet trip to Italy!! I had a ton of fun and I can't wait to return in the summer!!!

CoalFace

Can we just...

Where do I even begin with this? I bought this in Lush last week and God, every time I shower I just cannot live without.

As a loyal member of the Greasy-Faced-Teenager-Club, I bought this after being told that it was good for the skin. The charcoal is proven to absorb grease and oil and the liquorice root softens the skin.
When I was in Lush, I was really torn between CoalFace and another charcoal based product, Dark Angels. However, the guy in the shop told me that Dark Angels was more of a cleanser and exfoliator, which I felt I didn't need, as you are only meant to exfoliate once a week and I wanted to use it every time I showered.
So, alas, I bought CoalFace and even though it is not a cleanser, it has cleansing qualities as there are still exfoliating crystals when you lather the soap.
(Excuse my face, I had no make-up on and I had only woken up an hour before. But you can see the exfoliating crystals. If you were to put more on, it would look more grey on the face)

I find that once I have come out of the shower, my face feels really smooth and is not oily at all until I have my next shower, which is usually two days after.

AND...
I also find that I don't have to lather the soap a lot to get enough to use on my face, and If I feel like it, my whole body!!

It is a natural product and Lush do not test on animals so there really is not a reason not to buy CoalFace!!

To be honest, I don't know how I lived 14 years of my life not knowing about this product because it is a miracle.

So, I REALLY recommend you buy this because where would we be without it.

Hot or Not : The Grammy's

As everybody knows, the Grammys took place last night and it was a great one!

Being girls, we were particularly curious about what everyone was wearing and the amount of awards they won so we've picked out our Hot or Not's of the Grammy's 2015!!

Hot!!!!

Sam Smith

Okay, how can you not put Mr Sam Smith on the hot list?? It's just simply not possible! He has a voice that kinda reveals he is an angel and his acceptance speech about his broken heart just shows how down to earth he is- "I would like to thank the man that this album is about. By breaking my heart, you won me four Grammys!" How can you not love a guy who jokes about that? Huh?

Amazingly, he walked away with four of six nominations, of that including Song of the Year and Best New Artist which means he is a musical freak of nature!
I love this man so much that he will probably be on the Hot List for the rest of eternity, no lie.

Not!!!!

Charlie XCX

Sorry not sorry, but Charlie XCX's outfit is really not the bomb.com. There is a lot going on with this Moschino number- from the fur to the sheen to the bow tie, it is quite challenging on the eyes! And the faux fur wrap looks like she's just landed in from Antarctica. However, we credit her for taking a bold risk and being her fierce self to attempt this look.

So, that's the best, and the worst, of this years Grammy Awards!

Sundae Sunday

Welcome to... Sundae Sunday!!!

As of today, every other Sunday, we will be sharing with you our most delicious recipes. Recipes that prove life is the bomb.com when you try them!!

Oreo Chocolate Fudge Sundae

Chocolate fudge sauce prepared and cooked in 15 minutes!

FOR THE CHOCOLATE FUDGE SAUCE
  • 350g (12oz) caster sugar
  • 100g (3.5oz) soft light or dark brown sugar
  • 85g (3oz) cocoa powder
  • 25g (1oz) plain flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 400ml evaporated milk
  • 50g (2oz) butter
  • 225ml water
  • 2tsp vanilla extract
FOR THE SUNDAE
  • Crushed Oreo biscuits
  • Ice cream ( you can choose any flavour, we chose Ben and Jerry's Half Baked and Doughble Impact)
  • Any toppings you may want, don't go overboard though- the sauce is rich!
Let's get started then!

Firstly, put all of the ingredients, apart from the vanilla extract, into a saucepan.
Bring to the boil and stir constantly, ensuring that the butter and sugar has melted.
Boil for approximately 5 minutes, or at least until the mixture is thicker, using a whisk to break any lumps.
Take the sauce off of the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

In the sundae glass, place some crushed oreos into the bottom of the glass.
Add 2 scoops of your chosen ice cream.
Place some more crushed oreos on top, you can never have enough!!
Add some more scoops of your chosen ice cream.
Finish by pouring the scrumptious chocolate sauce and add any toppings you like!

Done!!

Now devour your sundae like it never existed!!!
